I have used it for 50 years to clean the crap out of dirty engines and to free stuck valves. It does a great job cleaning C&R gunk that is decades old. It is not a gun oil, it is an excellent bore cleaner and will also remove plastic wad fouling. I clean my shotguns with it everytime I use them.
