Maybe there is a hydraulic press that follows you on the way up and gently drops the weights for you when you let go? Or something else that will prevent the noise? I don't think it's due to muscle imbalance, at least not for my squat, since I can leg press 200kg for reps, although for deadlifts this may be the problem.
